how to add more types in Issue category

I want to integrate test type in my project in jira... can you provide step of how can i add issue type as test for my project?

Thanks Jack. Can yuo please help me to understand who can add it that type. Because i checked and i dont have acccess. And do this test type has defalult extrafield for test step?

You will need to locate the admin for your Jira instance. If this is Next-gen then the project admin (creator) should be able to do this for you.
