flag and tag...?

Knirke Jensen December 10, 2024

I remember the olden days when you could use a hashtag to create a tag on your tickets/issues, giving you good flexibility to do all sorts of stuff. I tested it out, and my board did not return any searches on my #test...

There is the flag option, but it doesn't give you an opportunity to share more information, the context - why the flag... (apart from a comment, of course).

I need a simple way to tag issues for different (sometimes ad-hoc) discussion fora. Any ideas from the community?

Hello @Knirke Jensen , Labels are the most common way to tag issues in Jira. You can add multiple labels to an issue, making it easy to search and filter issues by these tags on board or in other areas in Jira. You can add labels such as #test, #discussion, or any other relevant keywords, when you add a label to your issues you can simply filter these issues on board using the predefined label filter, you can also use the short key "l" while selecting an issue to directly update the label field which is a quick way to tag an issue, you just need to make sure the shortcuts are enabled
