create task from email in Jira

Hi,

Currently we use Cloud Jira Service Desk for our ticketing system.
Our customers create the tickets by email.

Now I want to create a task management project, where our customers will create the tasks by sending emails. Is there such option in any Jira template?

You can certainly create issue within any Jira project by setting up an incoming email handler. Go to Jira settings > System > incoming email

I will NMI to assist. Here are some screenshots of how I have this set up. What mail server are you using?

Hi Jack,

I had a configuration issue, your screenshots helped me to identify that.

I ran a test and a task was created.

Thanks for your reply Jack.

I tried that, using an atlassian email account and our company email account.
None of it worked; do you know if anything more in terms of configuration is needed?
