change users on my team

One teammate left she needs to be removed and I need to add a new teammate to our team's Jira.

• Some of these features changes per version of Jira Server
• Do you want the user to be an Admin and control everything?
• Do you have any specific permission schemes for projects? (you can find this in Projects > Project Settings > Permissions)
• Is your instance managed per group or per individual?

I just stepped through your situation on my version of server (v8.3.1), here are my results:

- To remove the member from the team

1. Go to Admin > User management and locate & select that user
2. Go to Manage Groups and Leave all groups associated with Jira-Software or Jira itself
3. If you'd like to delete the user, go to Actions > Delete User
4. if you don't want to delete the user, you can disable the user by Actions > Edit Details and unchecking the 'Active' checkbox

- To add a new user

1. Go to Admin > User management > Create user
2. Give that user an email, name, and password (if needed)
3. Give the user Application Access to Jira Software
