associate workflow schema to project

How to associate a workflow schema to a project. It currently shows a list of projects associated with the workflow schema but does not provide an option to associate a new project to an existing workflow.

The documentation mentions an option in the actions dropdown menu. But i do not see an actions dropdown on the workflow schema. I am trying this as a member of all administrator groups. So, i assume, permissions is not the issue.

If you are a project administrator, you will likely not be able to see the Actions menu, but if you are a JIRA system administrator, you should be able to see the Actions menu.

I just tested it on our environment, first with a role with only project administration rights and did not see the Actions drop down and second with a JIRA admin role that did, which is why it seems like a permissioning issue, unless you have something going on that is buggy.

It's also possible that you are on the wrong screen. Try Administration> Select a Project> Workflows (on the left or More under workflows in the middle of the screen)

I am a member of both the groups. I tried taking myself off the group and putting myself back on. Did not change anything. Could be something buggy.

This line: "It currently shows a list of projects associated with the workflow schema but does not provide an option to associate a new project to an existing workflow." makes me feel like you might be on the wrong screen. You shouldn't be seeing a list of projects - that is more of an overview page (via Issues> Workflows).

Try selecting a specific project via the Projects tab (Administration> Select a Project> Workflows (on the left or More under workflows in the middle of the screen))

I have tried that too.

The path i follow in the Jira Studio instance is Administration --> Projects --> (select project) --> Jira Project (configure option) --> more under workflows

I have also tried the following to no avail.

Administration --> Issues tab --> Projects --> (Select Project) --> Click on Workflows (under the selected project)

I 've either been missing the 'edit' option right next to the heading 'Workflow Schema' or have changed something that has updated the view to show the option now. Either way - clicking on the 'Edit' (pencil like) button allows to change the schema.
