Good day,
I've been looking into the new goals function. Now is it a possibility to get goals early. But we want to only use it on our sandbox environment and not on our production.
That only we as admins can use it and try it out and not all of the users. Does any one has some experience with this? And could help me with this issue?
Yes, you can enable Jira Goals in your sandbox environment without affecting production. If your instance is on Cloud, feature rollouts are typically global, but you can control access by restricting permissions.
Try this:
1. Go to Jira Administration -> System -> Global Permissions and ensure only admins have access to Goals.
2. If Goals appear for all users, use feature flags (via Atlassian Support) to request early access for sandbox only.
3. For the Data Center, you can limit rollout by enabling it only in a test environment before production.
If you're on the Cloud and need stricter control, you might need to test using a separate sandbox instance.
