I am wondering how other organizations are using status for Test issue types.
What are the defining moments that cause it to move to each status?
For example:
Test identified - TO DO
Established the test steps/refining - IN PROGRESS
Test has been completed - DONE
The question I am getting from my work associates is that they are not sure when to set a DONE status. Some feel it should be done when the test has been set up and completed while others feel it shouldn't be done until a test run has been successful.
How are other organizations handling this?
Thanks!!!
We have implemented the following status:
Test identified - TO DO
Established the test steps/refining - IN PROGRESS
Review - IN REVIEW
When a test is ready to be added to a Plan/Execution - ACTIVE
Test No longer relevant - DEPRECATED (the test is no longer editable)

Hi! Is it also as designed that test case which already in "IN USE" or "DEPRECATED" Status can not be changed back to "To-Do"?
