When I click the "view summary of assigned work" in the backlog view it shows original estimate. I'd like to also see "remaining estimate" since we carry over tasks that have work logged. Is this possible?

Editing the Board Settings->Estimation in the backlog worked for me.board_settings.pngestimation_settings.pngworkload_by_assignee.png

The reason it worked for you is because it seems that this problem has been fixed in Version 8 of JIRA. The workload by assignee now shows both Original Time Estimate and Remaining Time Estimate. In V7 only Original Time Estimate was shown.

@Zachary Emnett

if you  go to  scrum board setting you  will  see estimation > time tracking > choose Remaining Estimate and Time Spent  then go back to  backlog you  should see remaining estimate.

Best!

I have just checked my settings and this suggestion does not help.

My Workload by Assignee is still using the Original Time Estimate.

There is no capability in the Estimation Statistic Dropdown to use the Time Remaining value.

Why _doesn't_ JIRA use the Time Remaining value?
