Working with multiple workflows in business project

Mika Lahtinen November 4, 2024

I have business project with multiple issue types with their own workflows. Users can visualize only one workflow on a board at a time. That's fine and logical, but to change the issuetype and the corresbonding board is really unintuitive. The only way I found is by clicking 3 dots (on upper left corner "More" -> "Workflow", then select correct issue type and the board changes. Is there any better way for users to change the issuetype/workflow and board? I would be really nice to have buttons for each issuetypes clearly visible by the board.

Hi @Mika Lahtinen

No there isn't another more intuitive way to to that. You could also try to "move" the issue, but this means more screens etc. Are you on a company managed project or a team managed project?

I am on a team managed project.

You can also click on the issue type icon on top of your issue:

I think your replies are relevant to change the current issue from one issue type to another issue type. But I don't think that is the intent of the OP's question.

I think the OP is just asking about change the display of the board in the JWM project, where the board can display only one workflow at a time and subsequently displays only the issue types associated with that workflow. You have to change the board between workflows to show different issue types, if you have different workflows for your issue types.
