I used to think that the flow should be different when we managed different boards on the same project. Let's say I got a company-managed project, and have two boards.
So the Flow is the same (on the setting) the is no way to have a different Flow for each of the boards. Am I right?
Here is the general setting of the flow:
By the way, I know that I can create a different flow by adding filters or managing the columns here:
And it is helpful indeed.
But I just want to get some confirmation, let's say so ^_^
Am I technically right? Is the Flow configured in one menu? Screen #1
Why is it confusing me? Because I supposed it should be two flows because of two boards.
So, workflows are indirectly mapped to a board through the statuses that get mapped to a board's columns. This mapping applies to all the issue types that can be seen through the board's filter.
So, if you have multiple issue types with multiple workflows, they have to conform to the single column mapping for them to be visible on the board.
So, yes, you're essentially right (in a backward kind of way).
Hi @Max
Actually, I don't think so. A board is conceptually not tied to any specific workflow. What is displayed on the board depends on the JQL. By editing the JQL, you can even include issues from other projects.
You can display issues from multiple workflows on a single board, or if you restrict the JQL filter, you can narrow it down to just one workflow. You can have one flow by arranging statuses from multiple workflows into the board's columns, and it will work just fine. Alternatively, as mentioned earlier, you can narrow the filter and create separate boards for different sets of issues.
Cheers
