Action items are now available in Jira. I'd like to also add such items via the API, which requires us to use the wiki markup instead of Markdown. What's the wiki markup equivalent of action items? Text Formatting Notation Help doesn't contain this.
The "[] item" syntax doesn't work.
Thanks!
That is not supported yet. Here is one of the suggestions to add that capability:

Kind regards,

Thank you for your quick reply! Are you sure that issue about this problem? I see that it talks about the API too, but this is something completely different:
Right now, Jira does not have a dedicated page like Confluence for viewing all action items directly from comments.
So, I'm confused about the intent of the reporter.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
I believe the first sentence is the key as the announcement article link is included for adding Action Items to Jira:
Support to manage Action items in Jira via JQL or REST API or Automations.
Right now, Jira does not have a dedicated page like Confluence for viewing all action items directly from comments.
The specific feature for action items from comments is not directly searchable via JQL

That next sentence is describing what the reporter apparently believed is the related Confluence feature to see all comment / action items which reviewers add to a page:
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Ah OK, thank you.

Also, the method of declaring Action Items using ADF and the v3 REST API endpoints is described in the original announcement about Action Items.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Thanks, but ADF is not really suitable for our use case.
