Why is the project not visible to the person assigned as the 'QA Team Lead'?

I created a new role in Jira called "QA Team Lead" with my admin rights, following the procedure outlined below:

  • Go to the System section.
  • Select Project roles under the SECURITY tab. This will display the Project Role
  • Browser, which lists all the project roles in your Jira site.
  • At the bottom of the page, click on Add Project Role.
  • Enter the desired name and description for the role.
  • permissions.pngQA TEam Lead.pngAzeem's access.pngProject not found.pngClick the Add Project Role button.

After performing these steps, I also made changes to the permissions. However, I encountered an issue where if I assign someone as the "QA Team Lead" in a project, that person is unable to see the project.

Hi @tehreem_warsi As per your permission scheme screenshot I can see that you have added the "QA Team Lead" Project Role in assign issue permission but can you also confirm this role is also added in the "Browse Project permission" in the permission scheme as user will need the Browse project permission on the project to view the project.

Post a screenshot of the browse permission scheme to verify the same and if not present then add "QA Team Lead" project Role in Browse Project Permission and you can also confirm if is working on not using Permission helper.

Now added in Browse Project Permission and issue has been resolved.

Bundle of Thanks!
