I am trying to setup Portfolio for our team in order to establish an multi-project-multi-team management system. We are using several KANBAN boards for the teams covering several projects. I learned that Portfolio is combining all the stories from the boards to one single Portfolio backlog which has to be maintained. Hope this is correct.
Surprisingly, I observed that Portfolio is splitting up stories, i.e. it fills a time gap between 2 stories with just a part of another story, concatenate one or more stories, and complete the rest of the story later in the timeline.
Furthermore, although I configured Portfolio to assign at maximum 1 resource to a story, it schedules stories in parallel to each other. The length of the parallel story (in this case just 1 story which seems to be schedule in parallel to 3 others) is extended accordingly (MSP like).
Does somebody have any idea what I am doing wrong here or how I can prevent this behavior?
