Why does Jira double Slashes in copied links since recently (rendering the link unusable)?

Hi,
since recently i have the issue that Jira seems to double the slashes in a link when i copy it in an issue comment:

Example: C:\Windows\Temp

becomes: 

C:\\Windows
Temp

in a Jira comment once i click "Save".

Does anyone have a similar issue or can support me with an answer?

As per your description, I believe that every time you add a new backslash "\" using the new issue view and them change it to the Old issue view, it gets duplicated in your text (\\). Have I understood it properly?

If that's the problem you are facing, it is a known bug in JIRA Application that we have already reported with our development team:

- Issue comment with backlash get it duplicated

Feel free to vote and watch the bug to receive notifications about any updates.

Since we don't have a workaround for this at this moment, we recommend you to keep using the New Issue view to avoid this problem until we implement a fix.
