Why do i always get redirected to service desk as a new user when trying to access jira?

Trying to access jira such as http://XXXX.atlassian.net/jira  reroutes me to our service desk:

XXXX.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portals

This is the expected behavioirs on site where Jira Service Desk is enabled if you users does not have neither license to use JSD as an Agent nor license to useJira Sofware / Jira Core license

Please talk with your site administrator to fix the problem.
