When i enter selecting the project the board shows up empty. But i received notifications of incidents assigned to me and those i can see.
Is the ticket type Incident? Is it on a different workflow from the other ticket types in the board? Are all of those statuses mapped in the board configuration?
Normally I find this is a result of a status not being properly mapped in a column via the board or as Nicolas mentions, the board is not being queried properly. It sounds like you made the basis of the board the entire project, if not, look there too.
