While creating issue in confluence ticket number is getting as Gibbrish($ifttt_JiraAid)

This particular issue was facing only when filling forms in confluence and integrating to Jira.

Any idea of getting this as a numerical number.

Hi

Most probably you are attempting to get a created ticket key from ConfiForms IFTTT, but your reference to "JiraAid" result is not correct (or the result is missing)

To help here better please show what IFTTTs do you have in ConfiForms (Form Definition macro)

Gibberish  – "Issue is not submitted successfully and the email generated contains gibberish text" –

  • In this case, when the user is trying to raise an issue normally, it shows to the user that the issue is submitted. However, the email generated does not consist of the issue  number as well as there is no entry in the JIRA tool.
  • The email shows the gibberish instead of the issue number - $iftttResult_JIRAID
  • When the user again submits the issue after logging out from the Confluence, he/she is able to submit as anonymous.

Please help me out to get with the Issue number.

So, you need to access the value from the IFTTT as either $!{iftttResult_JIRAID} or via [iftttResult_JIRAID]

This way if there is no result then there will be no value (empty)

And your email  IFTTT needs to be conditional, checking if the record has Jira key set back or not

Another improvement is to actually unset the "do not report error" in the IFTTT that attempts to create Jira issue. This is a first thing you need to do

Alex,

Thanks for you help, where can we access the value in IFTTT and how to check the conditional.

Can we connect elsewhere to discuss more on this

But you already attempt to access the result of the IFTTT that is configured to create a Jira issue for you (via $iftttResult_JIRAID)....
