Which project permission is related to the release's attachments ?

Hello !

Is anyone able to tell me which project permission is related to the release's attachments ?

I have users (roles) that can add attachements and others don't, and by reading the list of project permission I don't see it...

I guess this is a permission "included" in another one, but I really can't tell which one grants it...

Thanks in advance

Just in case it's of use to other people, I'd like to say that I've finally found out which right allows you to add links to a version (accessible from the Releases menu of a project) by a process of comparative elimination between one of my users who could do it and another who couldn't. I've also found out which right allows you to add links to a version (accessible from the Releases menu of a project) by a process of comparative elimination between one of my users who could do it and another who couldn't.

This is the ‘Resolve Issues’ right.

Well, regarding the description ‘Ability to resolve and reopen issues. This includes the ability to set a fix version.’ I still don't see what this right has to do with the ability to add links to a version.

Hi @Raphaël NORYNBERG you're talking about attachments for releases.

Releases in Jira don't have attachments.

A Release page consists of:

  • Section
  • Related work
  • Designs
  • Issues
  • Start date
  • Release date
  • Driver
  • Description
  • Approvers
  • Progress

Do you have a third-party marketplace app installed for releases?

Hi @Dave Mathijs

Thansk for your answer,

As I said in the previous response, I'm talking about the "Related work" section, maybe it's not called "Attachment" but it allows us to link items that are related to the release.

@Raphaël NORYNBERG In order to manage releases in the Release Hub, you the need the Administer Projects permission.

@Dave Mathijs So either I've got a bug with a user or there's another permission that lets you add links without having admin rights.

Because I do have a user who doesn't have admin rights but who manages to add links

Hi Raphael,

For Attachments you have: Create, Delete all, Delete own permission.

Please see my print screen:

Hi @Cristian0791

Thanks for your answer but it can't be that, because all of my users have this permission and all of them surely can add attachement on issues.

But not all of them can add attachement on a release, under the "Related work" section.

I should have specified this in the description, my bad.
