Hi!
I'm looking for a document that have a clear recommended upgrade path for JIRA;
Usually when we need to upgrade an old version we need to dig in old release/upgrade notes to find the best approach.
It would be nice to have something similar the Confluence documentation where it provides a clear upgrade path for older versions.

I would recommend using the Jira upgrade checklist - https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/upgrade-checklist-966063320.html
This is a great way to determine the steps and path forward.
Hi @Brant Schroeder ,
This is a great document for upgrade but unfortunately it doesn't have the upgrade path information.
I'm looking for a document that explain the required upgrade path for the following scenarios:
Today we need to go through the old release/upgrade notes to understand what intermediate upgrade are required, and it should as well documented and easier to find.
In the past I have skipped a mandatory step during a test and this has broken one main feature for JIRA, and I had to redo the upgrade including the intermediary upgrade.

@Italo Qualisoni [e-Core] They used to provide that information many versions back. There is no longer any documents that I know of that discuss that other than the checklist I provided. If you look at the checklist under Determine your optimal upgrade method it states: If you are starting from Jira 6.4 or earlier, you need to upgrade to Jira 7.x (for example: 7.13) first before you upgrade to 8.x.
