Where is the interface for entering custom code?

I have seen many references to people adding custom code (SQL?) to Jira to manipulate data/fields. I am not a developer and I'm trying to figure out where this code goes. Is there a link or interface for customizing Jira using code?

Hi Wayne,

I'm sorry to say that custom code isn't permitted on the OnDemand platform, so you will be very limited by the customisations you can make to your instance. Please see our document on the restricted functions in OnDemand to get an idea of the possibilities and limitations of the OnDemand platform compared to self-hosted instances: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/AOD/Restricted+Functions+in+Atlassian+OnDemand
