Hello, Good day. Any user with "Administer project" permission will be able to create and edit version. Make sure you restrict administer project permission for specific user. https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/enable-releases-and-versions/

Hi @Mohanraj Thangamuthu when you say "Make sure you restrict administer project permission for specific user." where exactly do I check this? Can you share a snapshot perhaps? I've granted this user access/permission but he is still not able to create a release. Does it take a while for this to activate on his side?

Hello, Good day. Please let me know if you are using "Company managed project" or "Team managed project"?

Hello, thanks. Please go to project settings >> permission and make sure user has the "Administer project" permission.
