What is the "Done" checkmark?

Hi - what is the "Done" checkmark and how does it get there?shot2.pngshot1.png

It is a flag to tell Jira when you consider the issue to be done.  It's placed there when you configure the workflow/board for the project.

Hey @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- thanks for the quick reply.  I see that, but as you see from the pic's these issues are in status' other than "Done". 

Is this checkmark put there because  at some point was marked "Done"?  If so, is there an implication to the checkmark? Is it a searchable attribute? Is there any documentation about it?

Looks like this one answers it! Has to do with "resolution" attribute.
