Hello,

I'm looking for the best tool within Jira to create the user manual for my software system.

My questions are:

  • Is Confluence the most suitable tool for this task?
  • Are there any other tools or plugins within Jira that make it easier to create a user manual?
  • Which tool or plugins do you recommend for this need?

Thank you for your help and I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
Ana Coutinho

Hi @Ana Coutinho

Greetings of the day!

In my experience, Confluence is the perfect tool for creating user manuals. It offers several key features that make collaboration and organization a breeze:

  • Multiple team members can work on the document simultaneously, ensuring efficient and consistent updates.
  • Headings, tables, and macros help you structure your user manual for clear and easy navigation.
  • Track changes and revert to previous versions with built-in version control.
  • Link to relevant Jira issues or projects for seamless context within your user manual.

Here's a helpful link to learn more about Confluence: https://www.atlassian.com/software/confluence

I hope this helps!

Thanks,
