Hello All,
Can anyone please help me on which tool is recommended for Capacity management in JIRA Cloud.
Thanks,
Harish N
Hi @Venkata Subbarao Harish Nimasakavi
If you’re looking for a capacity management tool for Jira Cloud, I recommend checking out TeamBoard TimePlanner. It’s a versatile add-on that integrates directly with Jira and offers features for capacity planning, resource allocation, and workload management.
This tool also provides intuitive dashboards and reporting tools that simplify capacity management, making it easier to adjust plans as priorities change.
You can find TeamBoard TimePlanner on the Atlassian Marketplace and it’s well-suited for managing team workloads across various projects in Jira Cloud.
I hope this helps! If you need more information, don't hesitate to reach out to us at atlassian@devsamurai.com or book a live demo at https://teamboard.cloud/teamboard-demo-request/
Best regards,
Hi @Venkata Subbarao Harish Nimasakavi

Hello Harish,
Since you're asking, let me suggest our app, ActivityTimeline. It's a robust plugin for Jira Cloud, designed to simplify project planning and give you a clear snapshot of your team's capacity. Here are some of its key capacity management features:
1/ See how many hours are allocated per team member, and easily switch to view their available capacity.
2/ Track holidays, sick leaves, and days off with timelines and reports that accurately reflect non-working days.
3/ Split tasks among multiple assignees with a drag-and-drop feature while holding 'Shift.'
4/ Plan for both individual employees and entire teams using dedicated timelines.
5/ Use the person card to manage team members' skills, ensuring the right people are assigned to the right tasks.
6/ Seamless 2-way integration with Jira Plans, BigPicture, and Structure at the individual or team level to check if your project plans are feasible.
ActivityTimeline is free for 30 days. Reach out to our support team with any questions. Hope this helps!
Thank you,
Daria

Hi @Venkata Subbarao Harish Nimasakavi
You might want to explore some capacity planning applications available on the Atlassian marketplace.
One example is Team Planner - Resource Planning and Capacity Planning, created by SolDevelo, the company I am working for.
In the app, you can create a plan for a specific project while also being able to display and add tasks from multiple projects. The plan is presented in the clear calendar format and the length of the plan can be adjusted to your preferences.
Additionally, you can display estimations such as the Original Estimate value or Story Points.
In the app you can filter your Jira tasks, for example, by the status, so you can display the tasks from your backlog, or by the sprint, so the app shows you tasks only from the particular sprint:
Additionally, your team can collaboratively edit the plan in real-time, such as during planning sessions. You also have the option to include days off for users in the plan.
If you have any questions feel free to contact me here. Or if you would like to book a demo to see how our apps work go to this link.
Kind regards,
Michał
