Jira Admin duties are:

  • Aid project managers and administrators in maintaining project settings.
  • Administer Linux and Windows servers.
  • Assess, set up, and maintain third-party connections, integrations, and applications.
  • Boost the security of JIRA as confluence spaces and JIRA projects can have access restrictions set.
  • Control the additions, deletions, roles, and memberships of users.
  • Develop new initiatives to assist workers’ regular job
  • Create and put in place unique workflows to assist corporate procedures.
  • Function as an authority on the topic and an advocate for using best practices.
  • Execute recurring cleaning and maintenance actions for the application.
  • Educate teams and users about the capabilities of the application assisting users in developing and utilizing filters, dashboards, boards, and reporting capabilities.
  • Investigate issues with notifications, workflow, and permission.
  • Manage user rights for tools according to the requirements of projects and teams.
  • Perform system and application management activities, such as scheduling jobs and backing up data.
  • Test new versions of the tools and plug-ins to verify compatibility.
  • Investigate and use industry-standard practices.

Jira Architect Responsibility:

Work with a cross-functional team to gather requirements and inputs needed to determine
clearly defined JIRA workflows and architecture.
• Work with a cross-functional team to gather requirements and inputs needed to establish
JIRA dashboards to be used for easy high-level snapshots of project progress.
• Work with a cross-functional team to gather requirements and inputs needed to create
standardized reports that can be run and exported with ease.
• Establish a standardized Jira workspace template that will be used to house all materials
relevant to the web development processes.
• Create standardized templates for functional requirements document, technical architecture
documentation, and user stories.
• Assist with development of training documentation that can be used to roll out JIRA,
Confluence, and the requirements documents to our global organization
• Administer and maintain JIRA environments post-implementation; suggest and implement
optimizations based on user behavior.
