Hello Jira -
I need help updating my Notifications. Specifically, I would like to turn on Email Notifications every time I am added as a Watcher on a Jira Issue.
At the moment, I am not an Admin so I can not submit a Change Request per the instructions here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/support/create-a-support-request-790796816.html
If there is anyway you can help me with this request, then I'd appreciate it. If you don't know the answer yourself but can point me to someone who does, then I'd appreciate that too. Thanks.
Hi @Tom ,
As long as it's the notification scheme has watchers role for all the project events, you should be able to receive the e-mail notification.
This will need to be done by Jira Admin.
Here's the details:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/configuring-email-notifications-938847633.html
Please keep in mind that the way notification are configure is different between on-prem vs cloud. It would be good to add the Jira platform you are using. However, if you are on cloud, you can control whether you receive the notifications by going into your personal settings.
@Benjamin thanks for the response and confirming I will need Jira Admin to add All Watchers to the Notification field for specific Events.
Also, to your last question. I have Jira Cloud.
