Hello everyone, we have created an estimate project with milestones, tasks and subtasks... Now we have noticed that when we invite users to the project (including external users), they can see all projects (business projects)... We would like the invited users to see only the project (business project) to which they were invited. 1 to n, how can we set this up in the project or do we have to choose a different project type?
Hi Dominik,
Under the Free plan, all users can see all projects. And you can only have up to 10 total users for free. Is that what you are trying to accomplish?
Hi @Dominik Schanz ,
Permissions to see projects and issues is usually configured via permission schemes (if we're talking about company-managed projects; see the difference between team-managed and company-managed projects here). It's the same for software and business projects.
What we usually do (if talking about company-managed projects) is configure scheme so that only project roles such as Developers/Members, Administrators... can access the project.
⚠️ One note though - Free plan does not support editing project permissions:
You can't edit project permissions or roles on the Free plan for Jira, and you can't configure issue-level security on any Free plan (including Jira Service Management). Find out more about how project permissions work in Free plans. To take advantage of Jira's powerful project permission management features, upgrade your plan.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Tobi
