Using Xporter to export Xray Test Steps

Hello,

I want to export manual test steps (Action, Data, Expected Result) using Xporter.

I am using jira Cloud.

The Xporter Store has no templates for this (even though so many people are asking about this!).

I tried creating a template using the below but it produced an empty file.

${Manual Test Steps (Export)|html=true}

I am getting very frustrated with this and none of the documentation i can find can explain how to do this. Please help!

Hi @Chris Boxall

In order to export information from Tests, including Test Steps, the client can use these templates:

Note that these templates are for the Cloud version.

Thank you for sharing.  Strange it's still complex (the template themselves).

Why isn't stuff like this part of the Xporter documentation?
Better question, WHY, isn't it part of Xray?
Why can't one just go to Xray, export a test case, with detailed steps to XLS...?

Hi @Robert Wallace

Yes, you can; please check Xray documentation please:

Thank you.
