When an issue is solved through the workflow and its final status is "Done" still appears in the user issues' browser as opened causing confusion about which issues are still pendant and which are still waiting to be done.

make sure the resolution is set once a ticket is resolve, otherwise even the status is Done, resolved or completed (whichever name you have) in Jira's eye the resolution is not set therefore the ticket is not resolved yet.
You can set that as a post-function on the last status or popping a resolution screen where the user can input the resolution at your choice
