We have a person in the Jira Admin group. That person cannot use the Edit Filter Column Order command because he cannot see it, however, I am in the same group and I can see the command and use it.

Not sure where i can look to anble that person to use the command.

Any ideas??

We use 4.5.

Thanks!!

I don't know that you can change the ownership to be global, but you can change a filter owner in more recent versions of JIRA, maybe as early as JIRA 4.4.1, but definitely in 4.4.3. One alternative workaround is if you are using the JIRA SU plugin, administrators can switch and login as that users to make changes. It's a bit choppy, but one way to work around it. I don't think filter ownership can be global from what I recall though

Hi Adam,

Thanks for your reply.

I did create the filter, if that's the case how does one change ownership to be global so anyone can edit column order?

Hi Eric,

Did you create the filter that is being modified? I haven't tested this, but I feel like you may have to be the filter owner to be able to modify the filter's column order. Is that a possibility?
