I have the time tracking enabled; Log Work option marked as Required; I have also checked the Field Configuration to ensure that the Log Work option is visible. However despite all these configurations. I still do not observe the Log Work option on the issue.
i am using Jira Free (Cloud).
Spent a lot of time on this and have yielded no results. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Check your Screen configuration and make sure that you've added the 'Time Tracking' field to the view/edit screen for this particular project and issue type - I think that might be the issue here.
Hope that helps - Steve.
Hi Steve,
Could you please indicate which screen configurations are you referring to? When I navigate to the screen configurations, I notice just field tabs and there are other fields in it.

You seem to be along the right lines - you just need to add the new 'Time Tracking' field to the list of existing fields.

Even I am stuck. I followed all the solutions mentioned above. I tried these steps too: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/no-work-log-tab-on-activity-section-of-jira-issue-view-827358135.html
Unfortunately, I still cannot see hour logging option. Anybody got this working?

Hi there! I hope this helps someone. I realized that not seeing the Work Log tab was because I needed to select a different project type during creation. Opting for the more complex one, rather than the simplified version, allowed access to deeper project settings and the Work Log feature.
