Unable to move issues

Hi there,

I am right now testing a JIRA setup for our organization. So far everything including LDAP connection and SSO works fine. I am now trying to move issues from my service desk to another simple project I set up. In the move-issue wizard I am not able to select the new category from the new project as task type.

How do I do this?

thanks!

with the hint from Nic I managed to complete this. IT-Help was not an issue type in the new project. I added it and now I am able to move tickets to a task.

thank you both!

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "select the new category from the new project as task type".

In general you should be able to select all issue types that have been configured in the issue type scheme of the target project... Might be worth looking at the scheme:

Cheers

My guess was that "Task" is not an issue type in the target project.

I'm sorry if my translations are a bit unprecise, please take a look at the screenschot

I tried to move the issue and get an error handle. I already tried to add the missing types to the helpdek scheme with the effect that I could convert a ticket to a subtask. but this is not exactly what I am looking for. Hope you are able to help me.

thank you!

Interesting... The missing type would have to be added to the scheme which is associated with your IT-Projekte (ITP) project. If moving is still an issue try to move a single issue as a bulk move. If that still doesn't work you might want to have a look at these KB articles which describe the error mentioned above: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRAKB/Unable+to+Move+Issue+to+Another+Issue+Type+Due+to+'The+issue+type+selected+is+invalid'+Error https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CLOUDKB/JIRA+Cloud+'The+issue+type+selected+is+invalid'+during+Move+Issue+to+Another+Issue+Type Cheers
