Unable to edit or modify test case once published in X-Ray JIRA

We have a situation where we are using XRAY integrated JIRA to write and execute test cases. Now, the issue is that once the test cases is published and in case we have to edit or modify the test case under any circumstances we are unable to to it.

Only the JIRA administrator is able to edit the test cases. Does it require any special rights or the publisher/ reporter/ assignee can also edit the published 'Status' test case

Hi @Sreeraj C

what exactly does "published" mean in your case? Do you have a special workflow for test issue type?

If so: Could you show/describe the workflow?

In case the "Published" is a workflow status it might be possible there is set a workflow property that denies/avoids editting an issue in a special status or limits the permission to edit to special roles/people/groups.

See detailed documentation below:
https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/use-workflow-properties/

Hope this was helpful.

Best
Stefan

Hi @Sreeraj C

Could you give it a shot?

Best
Stefan

Hi @Stefan Salzl

Thanks for the solution given, it seems only administrators have access to the workflow properties and need to be checked how that can be modified. I will update once we are able to change it.
