Hi fellows,
i have every admin rights (product access, site access) for my jira account, but I still can not delete an issue. The weird thing is that I am exactly in the same groups like my team members, but they are able to delete issues.
I already did a research and I could not come up with a solution for my problem.
Thanks for any advice!
Being site admin doesn't necessarily mean that you'd have all the permission of the projects. As a site admin, you'll be allowed to manage the permission and perform the changes in the site level.
To check if you have the permission to delete issues, quickly go to the project settings and select access. See the permission of the project and if your user name is not in there, add your user to the admin roles. Then you'd have the admin access to the project.
what if you had admin rights with delete capability and suddenly don't? we've deleted the user, let it rest for the weekend and set the admin rights up again - still the delete function is not showing for this admin user

So you deleted the user and recreated the user? Is that right? Quickly go to project settings and see if the user is still given the project admin access.

In the new jira experience there is not much to adjust in the project settings. You have three fields: name, key, category. There is no overview about access information.

@Hazwan Ariffin I know that being site admin doenst mean that you have all the permissions. As I already mentioned, I have further permissions. This is the reason why it doesnt make sense to me why I can not delete any issue

In the next gen you should see this access settings (if you have the JIRA administrator access)
The link to the settings is https://<domain>.atlassian.net/jira/software/projects/<ProjectKey>/settings/access
If you can't access this, you are not the JIRA admin because all JIRA admin would be able to access the project settings of all projects in JIRA.
To confirm if you are the JIRA admin, go to https://<domain>.atlassian.net/admin, search for your user and see if administrators or site-admin group is added to your user.

Awesome! If that works for you, please accept the answer and mark this as Solved. :)

Heya @Khoi Doan , sorry. Are you able to tell me where to find the "Delete Project" button as well? I cannot seem to find it. I have full admin to both Jira Cloud and the project. I can delete the classic software via project settings but not the next-gen ones.
Thanks so much!
