I've taken over the Jira Cloud account for our company (The company was recently split in two).
I have noticed when I log into the Admin portal and go Products > Product URLs
On the site I can see a URL redirect for our main URL.
If I type in the url for that Atlassian account, it's redirected to ours.
How would I remove this redirect?
All help is greatly appreciated... :)
Hi @Tony Ciniglio ,
Welcome to the community!
The redirect URLs are added when you rename the product URLs, ref: https://support.atlassian.com/organization-administration/docs/update-a-product-url/.
You can try editing these urls again, in case this isn't available you'll need to get in touch with the support to edit that at the Backend https://support.atlassian.com/.
Hope this helps
Hello @Tony Ciniglio
The option will only change the url of the instance, so like first part of the url will change but it will redirect to the same instance. So like, your current url is old.atlassian.net, you can only change old (rest part will remain the same) and it will take you to the same instance.
"By changing old.atlassian.net to new.atlassian.net, you're updating the URL for its products. old.atlassian.net will continue to work and redirect to the new URL."
This is how it works.
Hope this helps you.
Kindly Accept if this helps you.
Thanks
