Triggers and Post functions on TEAM-MANAGED project WORKFLOW

1) I want team-managed project - an independent special project with a customized workflow

2) When I go to edit workflow for a story, I do not get the triggers, postfunction options.

Articles show that Company-managed Projects have triggers postfunction options for workflows - BUT that workflow would then be shared across other company managed projects. DON'T WANT THIS obviously - I want to create a customized workflow.

Can someone help me "turn on" the triggers options on a team managed project please?

Hi @chandragupta , TMP do not have the ability to add post functions, conditions etc. this is only part of CMP projects.

Team Managed projects do not support the same trigger and post function options as workflows that can be used with Company Managed projects.

For team managed projects, a lot of the post function functionality can be managed with Automation Rules. Would that satisfy your needs instead? Project Administrators can create Automation Rules for projects they administer, if the Jira Administrators allow it.

Workflows that are used by Company Managed projects are not necessarily shared with all the projects. Each Company Managed project gets a Workflow Scheme associated to it. A Workflow Scheme includes Workflows associated with issue type. The Workflows can be used in 1 or more Workflow Schemes. The workflows don't have to be used in multiple Workflow Schemes. A Workflow Scheme can be associated to 1 or more projects. It doesn't have to be used by multiple projects.

So you can have a unique workflow (or set of workflows) that are in only one Workflow Scheme which is associated to only one Company Managed project.

Note though that only Jira Administrators can configure Workflows, Workflows Schemes and associate them to projects. That can't be done by a user who is only a Project Administrator.

In Company Managed projects the Project Administrator also cannot create custom fields, screens, permission schemes, notifications schemes, etc.

CMP - customized workflow ; I now have a CMP so let me try both projects and see how far I get.
