How do I show the Sub-Tasks under the Epic's progress on the Timeline view? Only the Epic is showing the timeline, but the sub-tasks won't show. I have already entered the Start and Due Date fields in.
Hello, @Zeina Byrom .
As far as I know, currently, the basic Timeline does not support displaying subtasks. However, there is an open suggestion to include this functionality in the future.
Here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-18677
Although, If you are trying to see child-level issues like stories, tasks, and bugs in the Timeline, it is possible. You have to enable the "Include child-level issues" toggle. You can do thi by clicking on Timeline > ... (more options) and enable it.
If you have a Premium subscription you can use the advanced Plans to have a more customizable view reaching the sub-task level.
Hello @Zeina Byrom
How are you accessing the Timeline view; Advanced or Basic?
Advanced Roadmaps Plan Timeline
Did you first access a Plan from the Plans menu, and access the Timeline associated with that Plan? This would be the "advanced roadmaps plan" Timeline.
Basic Timeline
Or are you viewing an agile Board, and seeing a Timeline option in the navigation panel? This would be the "basic" Timeline.
If you are accessing the "basic" Timeline that timeline will show only Epics and their direct child issues that are within the scope of the agile board's filter. Does the board display both Epics and their child issues?
If so, then go to the Configure Timeline option.
Make sure you have enabled this option:

Yay! Thank you both so much!
I had to do by Start and Due dates, as my current option was by Sprint Dates.
