Hi,

Our projects are setup in Kanban framework and on subtask level. Also, it is hour based and we are putting estimations for every subtask. We have a scenario when when we need to reassign same task to another team member. How to track and run reports to show where we have estimated and time spent values? We want to see for every team member how many hours are spent and compare with estimated values. Thank you.

Hello @Jovanka Sejic

You can try Time in Status for Jira Cloud. This add-on generates a Time in Status report, that shows how long an issue has been in each status. So you can track how long it takes to complete each task for each of your colleagues.

Also, it generates an Assignee time report, that shows how long each issue has been assigned to each member of your team. And you can export these reports as XLSX or CSV files which you can analyze using tools like Excel or Google Spreadsheets.

I hope, you find this helpful.

Best regards, Mariana.

Hi @Jovanka Sejic ,

As an alternative, you can use Status Time add-on. It provides reports on how much time spent in each status as well as status entry dates and status transition count. Report can be exported as CSV, so that you can use external tools like Microsoft Excel or Google Spreadsheet to process the exported data.

Once you enter your working calendar into the app, it takes your working schedule into account too. That is, "In Progress" time of an issue opened on Friday at 5 PM and closed on Monday at 9 AM, will be a few hours rather than 3 days. It has various other reports like assignee time, status entry dates, average/sum reports(eg. average in cycle time per project).

Here is the online demo link, you can see it in action and try.

If you are looking for a free solution, you can try the limited version Status Time Free.

Hello @Jovanka Sejic

unfortunately, as you might have already noticed Jira focuses their time reporting on issues, not users. There are multiple Worklogs apps on the Atlassian Marketplace that can help you with this though. I can recommend the Worklogs - Time Tracking and Reports that we have developed.

It can easily generate a report showing time spent for each individual user (also on a sub-task level)

You can also compare the times with the estimate upon clicking on the time entry

Best regards,
