New Program Manager Struggling to use Sprint Retro Reports Correctly

Despite adding all fields that I believed to be relevant to allow for sprint retrospective reports to be useful, I seem to have issues. The green "completed work" line has stayed flat and I can't figure out how to fix it. I ran three sprints with the sincere hope of gaining this data and am very disappointed to see that I'm still missing something.

Please advise what I need to do to ensure that my retro reports actually contain useable insights. I can provide additional info as needed.

Thank you for the help!

Hi @Marissa Kane -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

That appears to be the Burnup Report for a Team-managed project with Sprints enabled.  Is that correct?

If so, please consider:

  • Did the work items / stories complete during the sprint time frame?
  • Did the work items / stories move to the far-right column of the board, as that is what Jira considers as "completed" for items in a sprint?

Kind regards,
Bill

Hi @Marissa Kane ,

The green line on the Burnup chart will rise only if you have completed issues. Since there are no completed issues, the green line will stick to the x-axis. To complete an issue, you need to transition it to the green status, such as Done.

Best regards,
Alexey
