Tempo Worklog Distribution Gadget is missing on the JIRA Dashboard list

Hello Team,

We are unable to see "Tempo Work log Distribution" Gadget list while creating the dashboard.

 

Got below error for already added same gadget before in the dashboard list;

 

This gadget cannot be displayed on your dashboard. This could be due to a licensing problem or an application error. If you need this gadget, contact your administrator for assistance. Otherwise, you can remove it from your dashboard.

 

when I am trying to add new gadget form the dashboard list then this gadget is missing from the list.

Could you please let us know why it is missing and how to fix this issue?

Hi @Dnyaneshwar Ramesh Borase ,

We have sometimes seen this problem with gadgets after an update of Tempo where JIRA is trying to load cached information for gadgets.

Can you please try to reset the JIRA plugin cache by doing the following:

  1. Stop the JIRA instance
  2. Delete JIRA_HOME/plugins/.bundled-plugins and JIRA_HOME/plugins/.osgi-plugins  (just these two folders !! )
  3. Restart JIRA

Sorry to hear you are facing this problem.

As the error message describes, the error you mentioned might be caused by some license issues with the Tempo Timesheets App that provides the gadget or some incompatibility between your current JIRA Instance and the plugin version.

I suggest you the following steps to properly troubleshoot the problem:

1 - Check if the App is up and running with your instance, confirming that its license is current up to date.

2 - If you have updated your JIRA version recently or is currently using an old version of JIRA, check if it is compatible with the plugin version in the marketplace page:

Tempo Timesheets 

3 - Logged as a site-admin, check if your user have the global permission to see data related to the Tempo Timesheets app.

Hi Petter,

Thanks for the sharing the troubleshooting steps for resolving this issue.

We validated the licenses of JIRA and Add-on bothe are active license and valid up to March 2020.

Actually, we are using following version of JIRA and tempo Add-on which are compatible each other as per the documentation;

JIRA Server : v7.10.2

Tempo Timesheet : v9.5.0

Tempo Planner: v6.5.0

For your information on the another instance with the same version the JIRA with all including tempo and JIRA gadgets are working fine.
