Hi All,

I am having an problem where when I use my board to create tasks and assign start and due dates to them, they will not appear on my timeline.

However, if I create a "task" through the timeline view it will appear on the timeline, but not appear on my board.

Both appear under my list, I think that when I create a issue under my board it is defined as a task and when I create and issue under the timeline it comes through as an epic? Can tasks not be shown under the timeline?

Timeline is based on Epics. If the task is linked to an epic, it should appear on our timeline.

It also depends on the filter you have built out for your board.

Hello @Cameron Houston

Your post tags indicate you are using the Free subscription. Is that accurate?

And what type of project are you using? Is it a Software project?

If so, then you have access to the "basic" Timeline shown when you have a Scrum or Kanban board defined for the project. In such a timeline Epics and their direct child issues will be shown. Issues that are not direct child issues under an Epic will not be shown in the Timeline.

Additionally you need to enable the option to show the child-level issues. That is done through the Board configuration / Timeline screen.
