Sum a custom number field in a Dashboard or sumif a custom number field in an Epic

Hey! I have created a leads/deals project with a custom campaign value number field and am looking to find the sum of this custom field per status and issue type.

I am open to various solutions.

What I currently have in place is I export the project via the Jira add-on for Sheets but it only updates every hour or manually, when I need to update it immediately. (After it is exported to sheets, I have a Dashboard using Google Looker/data studio).

Possible solutions I thought of but need help with:

1. use Jira's built-in dashboards and sum the campaign value using a widget - I couldn't figure out how to do this - maybe I need a paid one? if so, any recommendations?

2. Creating an epic / main jira issue for each category I need to sum and use a jql automation to update that single issue using a sumif formula - here, I am not sure how this would work or how I can set this up.

3. using a different google sheet extension that updates every minute or so - any recommendations?

If an additional app is a valid solution for you and displaying your totals on your Jira dashboard is sufficient, you might want to have a look at sumUp for Jira, since it provides a set of lightweight gadgets, e.g. a two-dimensional one - see https://apps.decadis.net/x/8ofrAQ

You can sum-up the field and display the result on the dashboard by using Issue Filter Formula gadget offered by our Great Gadgets app:
