Can't figure out why Jira won't start today.  This is in catalina.out:

2020-02-19 08:46:39,710 JIRA-Bootstrap INFO [c.a.j.config.database.SystemDatabaseConfigurationLoader] Reading database configuration from /data/jira/dbconfig.xml
2020-02-19 08:46:39,909 JIRA-Bootstrap INFO [c.a.jira.startup.JiraStartupLogger] Running JIRA startup checks.
2020-02-19 08:46:39,910 JIRA-Bootstrap FATAL [c.a.jira.startup.JiraStartupLogger] Startup check failed. JIRA will be locked.

I just ran into the same issue and it turned out that I forgot to set the Jira home directory before starting it. Would be nice if the error message was more informative.
