Smaller/Compact cards on Sprint Board (Cloud)

Edited

"As a project admin" I would like to be able to customise the cards shown on a sprint so that my scrum board shows more than 5 cards at a time. Why are the cards so big? Even with on a 5K screen I can only see about 5-7 rows of cards.

I would like the cards to be more compact. I have searched and seen that I am not alone in wanting this. I noticed that there is a plugin/extension called "Compact Cards for Jira" but it is not available for the Cloud version.

Is there a way to customise the look of the cards, e.g. to show just the name and issue id? If not is there an extension available for the cloud version of Jira?

Alternatively is there a way to reduce the amount of screen space taken up by the title / menu area at the top?

Hi Mark,

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

The ability to customize the height of cards specifically is not available within Jira Cloud. There has been a suggestion to make this height customizable via JSWCLOUD-14725, however this Suggestion was closed due to lack of user interest. If this is something that would like to see potentially in a future release of Jira Cloud, you can post a comment to the issue to provide feedback to our Product team that this is something you are interested in.

The header bar and title information is not customizable at this time either.  If that is functionality you would like, you can submit a new suggestion to our Product Team to review for potential inclusion in a later release.  This can be done here.

While not on the project board, one possible solution to see more issues in a single view would be to create a custom filter. If you add the Status column to show in the filter, you would be able to see where on the board the issues would be and sort by Status. Since the filter views are not the full card, this would allow you see more issues in a single view. You could even embed this filter in a gadget and show on a dashboard if desired.

Would that be something that might work in your case? If I have misunderstood your request at all I would be happy to discuss further.

Best,
Andy

How many users have to express an interest before you consider it worth developing? Our company just moved to the cloud version and of the 13 users on my team alone, this was the first question nine of them asked when we logged in.
