Hey all,
so our slack integration is connected, I know this because when I tried to make the connection I received this message "That Jira is already connected to this channel. Maybe you'd prefer to *manage your subscriptions* instead.".
The problem is that its not working and also givs me this message "Looking for Jira... :hourglass: This Jira Cloud instance does not appear to have the Slack integration available"
I have checked in Jira itself and the slack app is there and has the correct configuration for the issue type etc. as well as having notifications to slack enabled so im a little bit stumped to be honest.
Any help would be great!
Hello Toby,
Thank you for raising this question.
Can you confirm that you have Site-admin rights on both JIRA and Slack?
Also, can you confirm which is the add-on that you used to integrate JIRA and Slack? The most used add-ons are:
- JIRA Cloud for Slack Official - This is the official integration provided by Atlassian.
- Slack JIRA integration - This integration is provided by a third-party plugin from Bitband.
Sometimes, there is some confusion using both integration plugins, So I believe that Slack is searching for the official integration, but you have installed the third-party one, causing the message below to be displayed:
"Looking for Jira... :hourglass: This Jira Cloud instance does not appear to have the Slack integration available"
We will be waiting for your answer.
Hi there, thanks for the response.
Yeh I can confirm im both a slack and jira admin. I believe we have the jira cloud plugin installed as you can see from the below screenshot.
Either way I have made sure that the jira cloud plugin from you link is connected, I ran the '/jira connect' command which shows me that it was already connected and then created an issue to no avail!

@Petter Gonçalves also when you post a link to a jira ticket in the slack channel slack is able to go off and get information about it and post the issue type, status etc.
