Simple Tasks (by Top Shelf Solutions, app id 1213106) plugin page (Overview section) contains screenshots of sample tasks with status labels used, i.e. text with a color background.

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1213106/simple-tasklists?hosting=server&tab=overview

How can this status label be added to the task?

No references in the documentation etc.

Thanks!

Hi @Dmitri Buloitsik - would this be on cloud or server/data center?

In that case, you would need an admin to change the settings for the app.

  • Click on the Gear Icon (in the main Jira header) -> Manage Apps -> General Settings (in the Simple Tasklists section in the left sidebar).
  • Then go to the "Task Status Labels" screen.
  • Click the toggle icon to enable status labels, and then add any of the labels you wish.
    • The color icon is clickable, and allows you to set the color for the label.
  • Once done, click on the save button in the header to save the settings.

Note: the above instructions would create global labels, that apply to all projects.

If you want different labels for different projects, then select a project in the project dropdown (in the screenshot above it says "Global Settings"), and then override the settings for that project and follow the same steps as above. That would create labels only for a specific project.

Let me know if you run into any issues, and I can hop on a quick call with screen sharing to walk you through it.

Cheers,
-Anthony
