Show a lable on Kanban Board on card

I know I can add up to 3 fields onto the card, by configuring the card layout in the Board Settings.

However, when I add a label field, it doesn't show on the card.

Any ideas if this is possible?

I have found many posts, but not one the provides a real answer.

it works for me. I think there is more to your story. Next-gen of Classic? If Classic what template? Can you share some screenshots of your board and the Card layout screen?

As you, I am using Classic Software Project.

I should clarify, that the system Labels field works when placed on the card layout.

I have a custom field of type label, which does not seem to be added to the card.  

Does that work for you?

yes it does... just added a custom label field and tested see below...
