Setting Atlassian plugin SDK tomcat manager admin password on launch

Hi all,

Atlassian SDK launches tomcat manager with admin username and empty password. Security group warned me to change the password.

Is there a method to set username and password for the tomcat manager which SDK downloads and opens with atlas-debug command? Maybe a parameter with pom.xml?

I found out that tomcat-users.xml is under the path below. But it will be wiped out with atlas-clean. or changing the password may cause plugin deployment error.

What is the security concern with a development system that should be run temporarily and locally with no real data in it?

Hi Nic,

I really can not find a reasonable answer to this question myself. Security guys scan corporate network regularly and asks me to resolve the issue. I tried to explain to them but had no luck :(
