When starting to use the roadmap feature I get the following message.
Your roadmap isn't available because the board filter contains over 5,000 issues. Adjust the board filter to reduce the number of issues, and continue using your roadmap.
My main question is, by limiting the issue filter associated with a board, does that impact any other elements of the project? Like the backlog , active, sprints, and so on? Or is limiting this filter exclusive to the roadmap function?
Changing your board filter, which is the source for the roadmap, will definitely impact any other filters, boards, dashboards, sprints, reports, backlogs, etc. based off of that board filter. You could perhaps develop a new board, with a subset of the issues, and use that board for your roadmap... changes to the issues themselves will cross across boards, so you are good there. :)
