Restrict user to change Due date

Hi,

I want to do the restriction for the users to change the due date. How can I do it? 

Example: JIRA ticket has due date of 01/21/2021 and as a developer access I can change it to 01/29/2021 or 01/19/2021, As an Admin I want to restrict the chnage of due dates so they can't move date from 01/21/2021 to any other dates.

Hi @Vivek Patel ,

since setting the due date is tied to the 'Schedule issue' permission, you could revoke this permission from your developers (role) while still granting them the 'Edit issues' permission.

That way, your developers can still edit issue fields while not being able to adjust the due date anymore - see https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/schedule-an-issue/

@Nic Brough  has answered this one a few times of the years it seems :D 

Basically:

1. You can't restrict access at a field level without a Plugin
2. You can work around this by hiding the field from an edit view and exposing it on a transition which is limited to some users only
